Opening Flip the first time

Open System Settings, go to Privacy & Security, then click Open Anyway.

Or run this, then open the disk image again.

Every window has another side.

Hi, I’m Ali — I built Flip because I kept wanting to write something down about whatever I was looking at: a web page, a document, a terminal.

The usual solution is to open another app, make a note, and later try to remember where it came from. This felt like unnecessary bookkeeping.

Flip gives every window a back side. Press one shortcut and the window turns over, like a card. On the back is a scratchpad for that specific window. Flip it back and keep working. The notes are still there next time.

They also collect in a library, together with a small picture of where each note came from. Everything stays on your Mac.

A little about me. Before software, I flew fighter jets. Since then I’ve built software and internal tools for companies, along with many small things for myself. Flip is one of those.

I hope it helps you keep the thought without losing the thread.

Love all.
